Sat, April 11th: Pioneer Valley Zinefest & evening panel

In Western Massachusetts on Saturday, April 11th? I'll be at the Pioneer Valley ZineFest tabling copies of Tenacious: Art & Writings by Women in Prison as well as copies of the ABC No Rio history zines I co-wrote back in the 1990s and early 2000s. I'll have brand-new, hot-off-the-press copies of the Spring/Mother's Day 2015 issue of Tenacious for sale. Get 'em freshly folded!

Then, at 7:30 pm, I'll be talking about making zines with women behind bars. Also speaking will be Holyoke-based writer and artist Anne Thalheimer, who has been publishing her autobio comic, booty, since 1995. In 2013, she released her first book, "What You Don't Get", a memoir about surviving a fatal shooting at her college committed by a classmate in 1992. She currently works at the Holyoke Youth Task Force and teaches at Yale's ELI during the summer.

Both the zinefest and the panel are free and open to the public, so come on by!
