MON, April 13th, 6 pm: "One Fight: Activists Talk Prison Abolition & Reproductive Justice" (NYC)

Join Justice Now, National Advocates for Pregnant Women, the Correctional Association of NY's Women in Prison Project and me as we discuss and reflect on shared visions of change. Speakers will share their strategies for fighting mass incarceration and its role in reproductive oppression: limiting people's ability to have and care for children, preventing people from making intimate decisions about their bodies, forcing unwanted sterilizations, and cutting people's lives short. Writer and advocate Victoria Law will moderate and fuel the discussion. This event is free and open to the public, and has been approved for two New York State CLE credits in the Areas of Professional Practice, appropriate for both newly admitted and experienced attorneys.
